Red Hat Summit Connect Stockholm 2026
Red Hat Summit Connect comes to Stockholm on 11 November — and Stakater is there with a booth and a session. Come talk platform engineering, multi-tenancy and sovereign cloud, and catch our talk on turning OpenShift infrastructure into a cloud people can actually consume.

Sovereign Cloud on OpenShift: Building the Missing Cloud Layer
X-as-a-Service for sovereign and AI infrastructure: self-service, multi-tenancy, metering
Felix Tonnvik — Product Owner, Stakater Cloud Orchestrator
In 2026 the question isn't whether to run AI, but where and under whose jurisdiction. That turns platform teams into cloud providers whether they planned for it or not.
OpenShift already covers the runtime: containers, virtual machines, GPU workloads and storage. What's missing is everything between a running cluster and a cloud someone can actually consume: secure tenant isolation, self-service, a service catalog, metering and pricing. Built in-house, that can become a multi-year programme.
This talk walks through that missing cloud layer as architecture, using Stakater Cloud Orchestrator (SCO) as a real-world implementation. We'll show why tenants should never depend directly on the underlying clusters, and how SCO turns OpenShift infrastructure into consumable services, with Virtual Machines and OpenShift clusters as-a-Service, per-tenant metering and billing.
VMs and clusters are only the beginning. Databases, GPU environments and third-party services — anything with an API — can follow the same path to a priced, self-service offering.
What you'll walk away with
- Where cloud initiatives stall and why it isn't infrastructure
- The tenant separation decisions that matter
- Why tenants shouldn't touch the underlying clusters
- How APIs become priced, self-service offerings
- How metered usage becomes a billing record
Who it is for
Stakater has a booth on the show floor all day — come talk platform engineering, multi-tenancy and sovereign cloud with the engineers who build Multi-Tenant Operator and Stakater Cloud Orchestrator. Registration is free on Red Hat's site.
